With no WiFi or TVs, you’ll spend your days gathered around the campfire, canoeing across pristine waters, and making memories that last far longer than any signal.

(We rent the facility as an entire property rental, we do not rent individual cottages or have camping facilities.)

Amenities

More than just a Cottage.

The Camp at Waupoos Island is a small, family friendly group of cottages that encompasses almost 14 Acres and over 1000 ft of shoreline on Waupoos Island. It is seasonal and only accessible by boat, which makes it a truly unique setting in Prince Edward County.

The Camp has seven 3-bedroom cottages, a Dormitory and an old Chapel, which is the common room for those lazy rainy days!

Access

start your vacation off right

You begin your vacation by meeting our staff at the public dock beside the Waupoos Marina (mainland parking is provided). We will then help you load your luggage into our 24' pontoon OR 26' landing craft and you can relax while being chauffeured about 5 minutes to the island.

The Church

This very unique bit of Prince Edward County history was once an oasis for the Catholic church! We are currently using the church as a common room for all the guests of the island to gather, celebrate, play some games, watch a movie and hang out.

The Dormitory

Need a common space to gather?

The Dormitory was housing for the priests during its days as a Catholic Church Camp, we have renovated this space to include a communal kitchen and small hall (seats 40), perfect for events and retreats!

Recreation

Whether you want to take out a kayak and navigate the waters between the island and the mainland, bring a fishing rod to catch Pike and Bass or swim over to the floating dock, you won’t be bored for long!

With over 1000 ft of shoreline you will be jumping off the main dock into the water, then swimming over to the floating dock for a bit of sunbathing and finally over to the beach to build a sandcastle. This might be how you spend ALL your days while staying at the Camp!

Touring Around Waupoos and Prince Edward County

Should you choose to leave the island, there are many wonderful things to see and do in the Waupoos area and southern Prince Edward County.

Waupoos Winery, Waupoos Cider, Cape Winery, Three Dog Winery and Fifth Town Cheese are all within a 10 minute drive of the Waupoos Marina, OR ask us how you can rent some bikes on the mainland!

If you are getting groceries, you will have to travel about 15 minutes to Picton which has 3 grocery stores (Metro, Foodland's and No Frills)
